An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the nursing team on the gastroenterology ward based at North Tyneside General Hospital.

We are looking to recruit dedicated and highly motivated individual who is passionate about providing high quality and compassionate care to our patients. We are looking for a clinical leader who will demonstrate role modelling, empowerment, and support to our clinical team and provide leadership and high quality nursing care.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, team working skills and will be dedicated to improving the patients' experience. You will need to demonstrate continuing professional development and a strong commitment to develop others and work closely within a multi-disciplinary team. The Deputy Ward Manager will be expected to support the Ward Manager, Matron and the Ward Team to maintain a patient focused positive experience and environment.

The successful post holder must be able to role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the Trust.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wans and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres.

We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate.
