Oncology Staff Nurse

Job Title

Band 5 Staff Nurse – Oncology Day Unit, North Tyneside General Hospital.

Support the existing team in the safe delivery of holistic care to a wide range of cancer patients undergoing day treatments.

Under the direction of the unit manager and senior staff, provide high standards of evidence‑based, quality, holistic, nurse‑led care to cancer patients and their carers.

With appropriate training and support, safely administer a wide range of cytotoxic chemotherapy drugs and supportive care to patients.

Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership: engage, enable and empower others; use coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement; facilitate team working and collaboration within and across teams, departments and organisations.

Enthusiastic and motivated individual with an interest in oncology.

Band 5 registered nurse, accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
