GP locum Practice Nurse

Practice Nurse (Locum / Temporary)
Location: North Sheilds
Pay Rate: 30.00 - 35.00 per hour - dependant on experience
Job Type: Locum / Temporary
Hours: Full-time or Part-time shifts available

We are currently seeking experienced Locum GP Practice Nurses to join friendly and supportive GP practices in North Shields . This is an excellent opportunity for skilled nurses looking for flexible work within a busy primary care setting.

Primary care experience is essential. Applicants must have recent experience working within a GP practice and be confident managing a range of treatment room duties independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cervical screening (smears)
• Childhood and adult immunisations
• Travel vaccinations
• Wound care and dressings
• Chronic disease management (desirable)
• Health promotion and NHS health checks
• ECGs, venepuncture and blood pressure monitoring
• Infection prevention and control
• Accurate clinical record keeping using GP clinical systems

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
• Recent GP Practice/Primary Care nursing experience (essential)
• Competent in treatment room procedures
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Up-to-date mandatory training and immunisation status
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
