We are inviting dynamic staff nurses to apply for an exciting development opportunity. The successful candidate will be offered a structured in house training programme to facilitate progression to a senior nurse role within 18 months. The successful candidate will work alongside our Multi Disciplinary Team to provide person centred comprehensive assessments for our patients. As well as developing leadership and organisational skills to deputise in the absence of the unit manager.
This post falls within the provisions of Agenda for Change Annex 20 - Development of Professional Roles, whereby upon completion of an agreed set of competencies you may move onto the next pay band without the need for an application for a post at a higher level.

- To assess , plan and implement patient centred care as a member of the departments multi disciplinary team under the direction of the department manager.
- Undertake supported training programme to build knowledge and skills to develop into the senior nurse role.
- To be responsible for the day to day organising and coordination for department services in the absence of the department manager.
- To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
