Hours:
29 hours per week, 5 days Monday – Sunday, 08:15 – 15:30;
Saturday & Sunday required per rota. Sunday hours 11:00 – 17:00.
You are invited to join Royal Mail as a Parcel Delivery Driver. This role is part of a multi‑drop driving team, delivering parcels and other items, preparing the van, following route‑planning technology and ensuring each parcel reaches the right place at the right time.
Responsibilities- Prepare your van and workload for the day.
- Use route‑planning technology tools for efficient delivery.
- Deliver parcels, election materials, and suitable items such as food or alcohol in line with Royal Mail standards.
- Work on a rota that includes Saturdays and Sundays.
- Act as a positive ambassador, interacting with customers and providing excellent service.
- Upbeat, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.
- Organised, punctual, and proactive.
- Committed to providing great customer service.
- Comfortable interacting with customers as a Royal Mail ambassador.
- Willing to work in the afternoon and early evenings.
- Enjoy a multi‑drop driving role in assigned area.
- Full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
- Guaranteed hourly rate of £13.68 p/h, paid monthly and adjusted to working hours.
- 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (pro‑rated if below 37 hours per week).
