Direct Support Professional

Overview

Seven Hills Rhode Island is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide assistance to adults with varying disabilities living in our residential homes. This role supports the development of skills and independence while respecting each individual’s culture, talents, and contributions. The goal is to provide each individual with a comfortable, safe home and keep them closely connected to family, friends and community.

• Assist and teach individuals with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Provide household maintenance, laundry, meal preparation, shopping and budgeting while promoting independence.
• Administer medications in accordance with residential guidelines.
• Provide transportation and accompany individuals on appointments using personal and agency vehicles.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team following all support plans including behavior plans and maintain accurate documentation.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License & Good Driving Record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds or up to 200 pounds with assistance and perform activities described above.
