A part-time nursing opportunity is available in North Tonawanda, NY, serving K-12 students during the Extended School Year (ESY) contract period. This role involves providing specialized care to a student with complex medical needs, including tracheostomy monitoring and tube suctioning, while accompanying them on the bus to an out-of-district school.



Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing care on the bus for a student with significant medical requirements
• Monitor and manage trach and tube suctioning procedures safely
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure the students health and safety during transport
• Maintain accurate healthcare documentation and communication with healthcare providers and families

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Experience with tracheostomy care and tube suctioning essential
• Background in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
• Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day
• Commitment to a contract spanning the ESY, with options to extend into the next school year

Location &

Schedule:

• Position based in North Tonawanda, NY, with a start date ASAP
• Work includes bus rides to out-of-district schools within surrounding areas
• Part-time schedule designed to meet students transportation needs
