Science Teacher – Secondary (KS3–KS4 / KS5 opportunities)
We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in North Tyneside to recruit a Science Teacher for supply and long-term opportunities. The role is open to specialists in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
, as well as confident general Science teachers.
The Science department is well organised and supported, with clear schemes of work, strong technician support, and a focus on practical, engaging lessons.

£163 – £265.92 per day | PAYE | Depending on experience
Teach Science across KS3 and KS4
KS5 opportunities available depending on specialism and experience
Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs
Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and safety
Work collaboratively with department colleagues and support staff
11–16 secondary school with strong community links
Calm, structured learning environment
Clear behaviour expectations and consistent routines
Supportive leadership and collaborative staff culture
Easily accessible via Metro, bus routes, and major road links
Suitable for candidates travelling from Newcastle, North Tyneside, or Northumberland
QTS, QTLS, or equivalent UK teaching experience
Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general Science
Confident classroom management and practical teaching skills
Flexible and reliable approach to supply or long-term work
Open to short-term, long-term, or permanent opportunities
PAYE only – no umbrella companies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
