Retail Assistant – Part Time, Early Starts

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Shiremoor, Tyne and Wear. This is a permanent part‑time position with a minimum of 16 hours worked over 4 days per week, including weekends.

Please note that this position requires you to be available for shifts starting early in the morning.

• Pay: £10.95 per hour (ages 16‑20) or £12.81 per hour (ages 21+).

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Give fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for customers.
• Work with the rest of your team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy with varied tasks such as delivering, serving on the till, helping on the shop floor, and completing cleaning and stock rotation routines.
• Reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team; you must do your best on each shift and not let the team down.
• Flexible with shifts; may need to cover for other members when they are on holiday. Rota is planned three weeks in advance, and commitments outside of work are taken into consideration.
