Job Overview
Employment Adviser – Newcastle, Full-time (part‑time options available)
Reed in Partnership is a UK family‑owned company that helps individuals who are unemployed, economically inactive, or facing challenges such as health conditions, disabilities, or caring responsibilities to find sustainable employment. You will work in our Newcastle office supporting a caseload of long‑term unemployed jobseekers as part of the Restart Scheme.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of a caseload of jobseekers and create tailored action plans to progress them into employment.
- Deliver personalised, one‑to‑one guidance, including CV writing, interview preparation, and skills development.
- Meet and exceed performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with participants to shift mindsets and build confidence for work.
- Engage with local employers to identify job opportunities.
- Signpost participants to internal and external stakeholders to address specific barriers such as health, housing, or financial challenges.
- Promote the Restart Scheme within the community, raising awareness of its benefits and impact.
- Provide inclusive support and advice to people from all backgrounds.
- Demonstrable coaching/mentoring or persuasion/influencing experience.
- Experience in a customer‑facing environment (e.g., hospitality, social care, sales).
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, performance‑target driven setting.
- Willingness to travel locally to meet customers and employers.
- Minimum of 2 A‑Levels (or equivalent Level 3 Diploma) and GCSE English Language at least Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). Alternatively, achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview or International Equivalents.
- Knowledge of disability or inclusive support (preferred).
- Desirable:
Fluency in more than one language.
- Pay: £28,000 – £30,000 (pro‑rated for part‑time).
