Monday-Friday 8am-6pm + 1 in 4 Saturdays (4 hours)

We are recruiting a Transport Planner to join a well‑established logistics operation in Shiremoor. This is a key role responsible for coordinating daily transport activities, ensuring efficient route planning, and maintaining high customer service standards. If you're organised, proactive, and experienced in logistics, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

• Plan and schedule daily transport operations to meet delivery deadlines.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to optimise routes.
• Monitor transport performance and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, vehicle checks, and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation, company policies, and safety standards.
• Work closely with management to improve logistics processes and efficiencies.
• Use logistics software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for planning and reporting.

• Strong management, leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Experience using logistics or transport planning software (highly desirable).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution environment is beneficial.
