Overview

Senior accountant responsible for managing balance sheets, preparing profit/loss statements, administering accounting systems, supervising staff, training staff, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Plan, set up and administer accounting systems
  • Supervise and train staff
  • Analyze clients’ financial records
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
  • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies
  • Prepare reports and audit findings
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
  • Develop and maintain cost findings and internal control procedures
  • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
  • Analyze financial documents and reports
  • Examine accounting records
  • Provide financial, business and tax advice
  • Assist in planning and execution of financial statement audits
  • Variance analysis
  • Keep financial records and balance accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Oversee payroll administration
Qualifications
  • 3 to less than 5 years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Experience with manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Ability to supervise and train staff
  • Proactive and initiative‑driven
