Intermediate Accountant

We are currently partnering with a well-established organization in Vancouver seeking a detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong accounting experience who thrives in a fast-paced, systems-driven environment and enjoys working with process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full Accounts Receivable cycle including invoicing, collections, cash applications, and reconciliations

• Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances

• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger

• Assist with month-end close procedures including balance sheet reconciliations

• Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies across accounts

• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules, including tracking additions, disposals, and depreciation

• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances

• Provide backup support for full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor reconciliations

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, automations, and system efficiencies

• Other Ad hoc duties and special projects as assigned
