Kintera- (DWB/CRGL) is a newly merged consulting firm specializing in environmental, engineering, forestry and GIS services and solutions. With a close-knit team, a diverse client base, and a strong reputation for quality and service, the company operates offices throughout all of British Columbia.
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team and oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our accounting function. This role is key to ensuring accurate records, regulatory compliance, and ensuring the smooth execution of core accounting processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and contribute to continuous improvements within the department. This position is based out of the North Vancouver office.
The Accounting Manager oversees the company’s accounting practices, maintaining accurate fiscal records, and preparing key financial reconciliations and reports. The role is responsible for core accounting functions such as project accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. The Accounting Manager will report to the Controller and provide leadership to the accounting staff.
Compensation: The hourly range is between $50-$55 and will be commensurate with experience.
Job Responsibilities- Managing full accounting cycle, including month‑end close processes.
- Posting and reviewing transactions, including accruals and intercompany transactions.
- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and government remittances.
- Leading, mentoring and developing accounting staff; fostering strong communication and alignment between finance and operational teams.
- Maintaining general ledger accuracy, including reconciliation of accounts.
- Preparing month‑end and year‑end financial reports and schedules.
- Working closely with the Business Services team to ensure completeness and accuracy of project billings.
- Assisting with payroll process and reconciliations, as needed.
- Assisting with audits and the year‑end annual review.
- Supporting ERP transition and lead ongoing process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with full‑cycle accounting, financial reporting under ASPE, and hands‑on month‑end management.
- Solid understanding of internal controls, financial processes and statutory compliance.
- Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems;
Deltek Vantagepoint and/or ADP considered a strong asset. - Experience in a consulting, service‑based or project‑based environment preferred.
