Accountant Assistant

Position: Accountant Assistant )
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our Senior Accountant on a part-time or full-time basis. This role will assist with daily accounting operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior accounting professional or experienced bookkeeper seeking flexible working conditions
Responsibilities   Assist the Senior Accountant with day-to-day accounting tasks
Scan, organize, and accurately book financial documents
Record and categorize transactions in Quick Books Online
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and ensure timely vendor payments
Prepare cheques for vendor payments and employee reimbursements
File accounting documents according to respective projects
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
Assist with sales invoice preparation
Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information
Qualifications   High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in accounting or finance is an asset)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
1-2 years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with Quick Books Online is preferred
Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
