Position: Property Tax Coordinator at District of Squamish
Location: Squamish

Take charge of property tax management as a Property Tax Coordinator for the District of Squamish. This role emphasizes customer service while overseeing tax preparation and collection processes.

Reporting to the Senior Accountant in Financial Operations, you'll manage property tax compliance, including preparation, collection, and related accounting functions. This position also involves cashier duties as needed, along with maintaining strong public relations with internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee preparation and collection of property taxes

• Conduct audits and resolve discrepancies for tax accounts

• Prepare and process annual tax notices and adjustments

• Analyze BC Assessments data to identify trends

• Assist with cash receipt operations at the front counter

Requirements:

• 3 years experience in local government property tax administration

• Business Administration Certificate with accounting focus

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and financial software

• Excellent communication and time management abilities

• Knowledge of municipal regulations and taxation rules
