Take on a pivotal role in the fight against climate change as a Senior Tax & Technical Accounting Specialist. This hybrid opportunity allows you to utilize your CPA expertise to guide carbon capture initiatives while managing critical tax compliance and advisory tasks.

Our client seeks a seasoned tax specialist with 10+ years of experience for a full-time contract covering maternity leave.

This role offers a unique opportunity to interact with engineering teams, external advisors, and the U.S. parent company. You will champion SR&ED strategies and have substantial input on corporate tax issues, making key decisions and providing support for complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Canadian corporate tax compliance and manage PwC relations

• Lead the SR&ED program with engineering teams

• Act as main contact for KPMG during annual audits

• Advise on complex transactions under IFRS and US GAAP

• Assist with transfer pricing and intercompany reporting

Requirements:

• CPA with a decade of diverse tax experience

• Extensive hands-on SR&ED knowledge

• Familiarity with US tax and intercompany relations

• Strong IFRS and US GAAP knowledge

• Proven ability to resolve complex accounting issues
