Sewer Construction Supervisor

Position: Full-Time Sewer Construction Supervisor
Elevate your career with the City of North Vancouver as a Supervisor1 in Sewer Services. This full-time position integrates office and field responsibilities, focusing on sewer system operations.

Reporting to the Section Manager of Utilities, you will assist in planning, directing, and supervising a small group in sewer maintenance and construction projects. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with municipal standards, managing contractors, and participating actively in fieldwork. Document preparation and reading construction drawings will also be part of your daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee sewer construction and maintenance operations

• Co-coordinate work of drivers and contractors

• Ensure compliance with municipal sewer standards

• Prepare records and interpret construction drawings

• Participate in field activities as required

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education with EOCP certification in wastewater

• Proven knowledge in municipal sewer maintenance operations

• Familiarity with asset management systems like Hansen

• Valid Class 5 BC driver's licence

• Ability to direct teams and interact with the community
