About the Role

VP Foundations is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team in North Vancouver. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being both in the field and in the office , supporting project execution from start to finish.
At VP Foundations, you won’t just be supporting projects—you’ll be building communities, gaining real-world experience, and working alongside experienced industry professionals .
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret project drawings, plans, and specifications to support execution
Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and construction schedules
Support field operations by providing technical guidance and construction best practices
Track and monitor project costs, performance, and financial reporting
Establish and maintain project cost codes and documentation
Assist with subcontractor coordination, procurement, and documentation
Maintain accurate project records, reporting, and document control
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in heavy civil, foundation, or construction projects
Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
Strong understanding of cost control, estimating, and project planning
Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project , and Microsoft Office tools
Knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and industry practices
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Excellent problem-solving, organization, and time management abilities
A proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute
Project scheduling and planning ( MS Project or Primavera )
Cost estimation and budget tracking
Document control and reporting
Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills
Effective communication and teamwork
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
Compensation
Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 per year
The final salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity, in alignment with Carlson Construction Group’s compensation practices.
