Construction Safety Officer

Lead safety initiatives with Carlson Construction Group as a Construction Safety Officer in North Vancouver. This critical role focuses on compliance and safety culture at a major project site.

This project-focused position, operating on a 10 days on, 4 days off schedule, requires a seasoned Safety Officer to monitor safety compliance and enhance the team's performance. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, leading training sessions, and ensuring optimal health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee safety records, incident data, and compliance

• Review and coach on safety documentation accuracy

• Facilitate toolbox talks and safety training

• Enforce safety regulations for workers and subcontractors

• Carry out site inspections and hazard assessments

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of field safety experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Post-secondary education in a safety-related field

• Organizational skills with a results-oriented outlook

• Availability for shifts and potential travel
