Your Impact on the Water

As a Superintendent, you are the heartbeat of the project site. You will oversee heavy marine piling, dredging, and foundation work, ensuring every hammer blow and concrete pour aligns with our rigorous standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Stewardship: Act as the ultimate champion for safety, ensuring every team member goes home healthy by implementing effective programs and leading by example.
  • Marine Execution: Lead early‑works execution plans for jetties, ports, and terminals, specializing in heavy marine piling and foundation installation.
  • Resource Coordination: Masterfully orchestrate labor, subcontractors, and heavy plant equipment for sites of 50+ multidisciplinary workers.
  • Marine Structure Management: Manage the full lifecycle of marine structure construction, from test piling and excavation through to formwork, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, and anchor bolt installation.
  • Strategic Planning: Pivot and problem‑solve in weekly review meetings, using trend data to crush schedule delays and keep the project on track.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain the "Van Pile Reputation" by fostering positive relationships with clients and the local community.
What You Bring to the Crew

You are a leader who understands that marine construction is as much about precision as it is about power. You have a deep respect for the environment and the technical chops to back it up.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: at least 7 years of successful management on large‑scale marine structures.
  • Marine Mastery: Deep knowledge of marine construction codes, dredging equipment, and piling methodologies.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to supervise large, diverse crews and subcontractors with clarity and authority.
  • Communication: Intermediate computer skills (MS Office/Email) and a valid driver’s license.
  • Safety & Environment: A rock‑solid understanding of Safe Work practices and a background in marine environmental stewardship.
Salary: $140 - $170k per annum

The actual salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on job‑related factors, including relevant experience, years of experience, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group’s compensation policy.
