General Overview:
Elevate your career in construction with our diverse and challenging role crucial to project success. We seek a dynamic Construction Professional to provide onsite support to the superintendent and project manager while acting as a vital link between our project sites and head office.
This position is an ideal steppingstone for individuals aiming to transition into Project Management, Project Controls, or Estimating roles, offering valuable experience in building diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor quality control, safety, and environmental programs.
Perform quantity surveying, quantity review, and system input.
Coordinate field details, conduct site inspections, and liaise with field subcontractors.
Assist site inspectors with reporting functions.
Set up and maintain filing systems, document control, and daily communication with site superintendents.
Record daily construction activities and produce photographic records.
Prepare daily site reports, labor reports, and cost reports.
Expedite materials in conjunction with the Project Manager.
Distribute information to subcontractors and internal teams.
Maintain as-built drawings, budgets, and cost forecasts.
Participate in post-project reviews with key personnel.
Qualifications:
Post‑secondary education:
Diploma or BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Coordination, or Forestry is an asset.
Applicants must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and be legally permitted to work in Canada.
Required Skills:
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with clients and coworkers.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (Engineering, Purchasing, Estimating, Construction, etc.).
Customer‑focused with a keen eye for quality and prioritization.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in technical skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Location and
Work Schedule:
The Project Coordinator will work at various project sites across Canada, often on a fly‑in‑fly‑out basis. LOA is provided no none camp jobs.
Typical work rotation: 21 days on, 7 days off.
