Carlson Construction Group is seeking an experienced and driven  Scheduler / Planner  to join our growing team. What You'll Do
As a  Scheduler / Planner , you will be a key member of the project team, providing planning, scheduling, and project controls expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using  Primavera P6  and  Microsoft Project .

Create and manage project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

Break project scope into logical work packages, activities, durations, and dependencies.

Establish baseline schedules and monitor progress against planned milestones.

Analyze schedule performance and report project status to stakeholders.

Identify critical path activities, risks, constraints, and opportunities.

Recommend mitigation measures, corrective actions, and recovery plans when required.

Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, and Project Coordinators to ensure schedules align with project execution strategies.

Prepare look-ahead schedules, progress reports, schedule forecasts, and executive-level reporting.

Support project controls functions, including forecasting, productivity analysis, earned value management, and schedule-cost integration.

Evaluate changes in project scope and assess schedule impacts.

Participate in project planning sessions, risk reviews, and constructability discussions.

Continuously improve planning and scheduling practices across the organization.

What You'll Bring
Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, Project Management, or a related discipline.

Minimum  5 years of scheduling and planning experience  within construction, industrial, infrastructure, marine, fabrication, or heavy civil projects.

Advanced proficiency with  Primavera P6  and  Microsoft Project .

Strong understanding of  Critical Path Method (CPM)  scheduling.

Experience developing and maintaining  Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) .

Knowledge of project controls, forecasting, earned value management, cost control, and schedule analysis.

Experience integrating schedule, cost, and progress measurement systems.

Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and execution planning.

Ability to evaluate risks, analyze impacts, and develop practical recovery plans.
