As a Design Developer 1, you will support the Women's Hike design team in creating unique garments that meet real-world challenges.
Your role involves hands-on prototyping and collaboration with other designers and developers, emphasizing sustainable practices. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience in a technical environment and a solid foundation in Fashion Design principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create garment prototypes, ensuring alignment with design intent
• Work with designers and developers on new construction techniques
• Document processes for scalability in production
• Test materials and record findings for garment suitability
• Aid the design team in addressing challenges and project needs
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of experience in technical design
• Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or equivalent
• Previous experience in pattern making and CAD software
• Excellent skills in sewing, building, and prototype development
• Quick adaptability to software applications like Adobe Illustrator
