Language Instructors - English Instructor

The District of West Vancouver Community Services Department is accepting applications for Language Instructors to teach our group Beginner to Intermediate level English language classes for adults. The lessons will be based out of the West Vancouver Community Centre.

The ideal candidate is motivated, creative, energetic, and available to teach at various times of the day and evening during the week and weekend. The successful candidates will have a certificate or a university degree with experience teaching the language, with an ability and tools to create their own curriculum for beginner and intermediate language learners. Desirable qualifications include excellent verbal, written, facilitation and organizational skills;

experience in designing and applying various assessment techniques to measure and monitor learner progress; fluency in English for instructing; and fluency in the language of instruction.

All applicants must provide a cover letter, resume that shows academic background and teaching experience, and a sample of syllabus for 5 - 7 week adult classes.

The successful candidate will be required to supply a police information check and a copy of their credentials.
