Part-time Teacher Librarian École Pauline Johnson

Location: west vancouver

Support literacy and learning at École Pauline Johnson Elementary as a part-time Teacher Librarian. Engage students and staff with innovative library programming from September 2026 through June 2027.
This term position, effective September 8, 2026, is aimed at providing excellent librarian services in a French Immersion context. The role calls for demonstrated experience in elementary education along with valid BC teaching certification. You will facilitate inquiry-based learning and promote a passion for reading, creating an inclusive environment that supports all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide teacher-librarian services supporting students and staff

• Curate and manage a diverse collection of learning resources

• Promote literacy and a love of reading among students

• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources

• Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning
Requirements:

• Valid BC Ministry of Education teaching certificate

• Teacher-librarian qualifications or relevant library science coursework

• Experience in an elementary school setting

• Fluency in French is a strong asset

• Strong organizational and communication abilities
