This full-time role in the Ta na wa Ns7éyx̱nitm ta Snew̓iyelh Language and Cultural Affairs Department focuses on educational programming that enriches community ties to Squamish culture. Collaborate with Elders and families to create engaging learning experiences that integrate music, traditions, and history. You'll develop lesson plans and evaluate student progress to ensure effective language acquisition at various learning levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver immersive Squamish language instruction daily

• Create curriculum, lesson plans, and materials

• Support cultural immersion programs for community members

• Evaluate and report on student learning outcomes

• Collaborate on language revitalization initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field

• Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience

• Proficient in the Squamish language

• Strong knowledge of Squamish culture and traditions

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
