Senior Naval Architecture Engineer

Provide engineering and design expertise in Naval Architecture and Structural Design, preparing and reviewing design/calculation packages.

Mentor and provide oversight to junior engineers, designers, and subcontractors.

Develop and review design documents for diverse vessel types, including fisheries, icebreaking, and naval replenishment vessels.

Conduct trade studies to identify cost-effective engineering solutions.

Develop material specifications and bills of material.

Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture.

10+ years of post-secondary experience in Naval Architecture and Structural Design.

Professional Engineering designation in the Province of British Columbia.

Expert knowledge of stability, weight, resistance, powering, and structural design calculations.

Experience with a diverse project team and knowledge of Ship Constructor and ACAD software are preferred.

Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.

An estimated range of $116,000 - $144,000, with the final amount based on the candidate’s experience and skill set.
