Vanpile is seeking a Project Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in the success of our ground improvement and land piling projects. Key Responsibilities
Assist in the daily operations of ground improvement, foundation, and shoring projects with a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery .
Review and interpret geotechnical reports focusing on bearing capacities, settlement tolerances, and groundwater control for deep foundations.
Coordinate pile load tests, PDA testing, CPT, and static load tests, ensuring compliance with design criteria.
Oversee installation and inspection of piling, stone columns or caisson works, verifying embedment depths, material quality, and installation tolerances.
Liaise with geotechnical consultants on issues like unexpected soil layers, obstructions, or ground settlement exceeding allowable limits.
Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to align schedules and meet deadlines.
Mentor junior staff and perform field assignments as required.
Uphold and promote Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree or diploma in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
Registered or eligible for registration with APEGBC or ASTTBC.
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in geotechnical engineering.
Expertise in ground improvement techniques, foundations, earth retaining structures, and driven piles.
Strong background in contract management, scheduling, and financial oversight.
Familiarity with government approvals and trade standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills.
