Senior Environmental Lead

Position: Senior Environmental Lead with Pomerleau
Location: Squamish

Pomerleau is seeking a Senior Environmental Lead for the Woodfibre LNG project in Squamish, BC. Your expertise will guide environmental stewardship and compliance efforts throughout the project lifecycle.

As the Senior Environmental Lead, you will manage and monitor compliance with environmental regulations and project-specific commitments. This role requires independent oversight of environmental management plans and the direction of a team of coordinators. Your proactive approach will help mitigate environmental risks and enhance awareness of sustainable practices within construction operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with the Regional Environmental Manager and Project Managers

• Develop and implement environmental management plans and permits

• Conduct field management and compliance monitoring activities

• Provide environmental training for project staff

• Advocate for environmental compliance and stewardship

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or relevant field

• Should hold or be pursuing Qualified Environmental Professional status

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience

• Familiarity with environmental compliance regulations

• Strong teamwork and communication skills
