In this role, you’ll work side by side with the Facilities and Manufacturing Engineering teams to identify and improve production processes. Your responsibilities include performing time studies, utilizing lean methodologies to reduce waste, and designing effective workspace layouts with AutoCAD. You'll engage with skilled trades directly on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist engineering teams with ongoing projects
• Analyze and enhance manufacturing processes
• Collect data for operational efficiency studies
• Create workspace layouts in AutoCAD
• Document standard operating procedures for tasks
Requirements:
• Enrolled in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering program
• Proficient in CAD software
• Excellent communication skills are essential
• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts
• Team-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Experience impactful learning at Seaspan Shipyards and contribute to essential manufacturing improvements.
