The Welding Engineer Internship at Seaspan provides a unique opportunity to work on significant projects in a collaborative environment. You will assist in creating welding specifications, conducting failure analysis, and supporting testing procedures in a cutting-edge metallurgical lab. Reporting to the Manager, Welding Engineering, you'll engage directly in one of Canada's largest shipbuilding initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Welding Procedure Specifications collaboratively

• Aid in metallurgical laboratory testing efforts

• Implement Welding Quality Management System initiatives

• Review and manage the Welding Procedure Database

• Participate in special projects as directed

Requirements:

• Involved in 2nd or 3rd year of Engineering degree program

• Familiarity with national/international welding standards

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High integrity and honesty in all tasks

• Effective communication and organizational skills
