Job Description Seaspan Shipyards is part of Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy, building vessels for the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. The Intern, Process Management will support process engineering on new construction projects at Vancouver Shipyards, working directly under the Supervisor, Design Build – Process Management.
Responsibilities Plan and analyze pre‑production strategy including engineering and procurement schedules, pre‑production processes, and MBOM creation.
Develop and implement process improvements across pre‑production areas.
Conduct pre‑production process analysis to design, refine, and implement new and existing production processes.
Qualifications Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a technical field, or a related discipline.
Proficient in process mapping tools such as Visio, Miro, and ARIS SW.
Understanding of BPMN is an asset.
Committed to high safety standards and able to comply with Seaspan safety policies.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Knowledge of heavy industry operations and the relationship among planning, procurement, design, and production.
Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams to capture process requirements and document workflows.
Experience applying Lean methodologies to identify inefficiencies and eliminate waste is an asset.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems supporting large manufacturing facilities.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across Trade Management, Engineering, Design, Procurement, Quality, and Program Controls.

Compensation and Work Hours Full‑time commitment:
Monday‑Friday, 40 hours per week. Hourly rate: $28.00.
