Working under the guidance of senior planners and leadership, the role focuses on assisting with layout validation, block movement planning, and capacity analysis to ensure alignment between design, operations, and planning requirements. This role will contribute to resolving planning challenges related to block orientation, pin jig configurations, crane accessibility, and workstation constraints by reviewing drawings and validating plans using AutoCAD and 3D model viewer tools.

The position will also support yard capacity assessments, including storage and buffer planning, to ensure efficient utilization of limited space and alignment with production needs.

What you will be doing
  • Support the development and maintenance of capacity plans for ongoing projects under supervision.
  • Review and validate block layouts, orientations, and workstation arrangements using AutoCAD and 3D model viewer software.
  • Assist in analyzing drawings such as lift-and-turn plans, pin jig designs, and workstation layouts to ensure feasibility and alignment with operational constraints.
  • Support planning activities related to crane accessibility, material flow, and block movements across workstations.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the weekly movement plan for Blocks, Grand Blocks, and Modules in alignment with project requirements.
  • Utilize Shipyard AI (SAI) to support footprint planning, capacity assessments, and data analysis activities.
  • Extract, analyze, and interpret data from Shipyard AI to support planning decisions and identify potential capacity constraints.
  • Support the development and maintenance of databases and tracking tools to enable periodic capacity and performance analysis.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining yard storage plans based on product footprint, dwell time, and buffer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Planning teams to ensure alignment between design intent and execution.
  • Support the preparation of capacity planning data, reports, and visualizations for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying potential capacity conflicts and elevate issues to senior planners for resolution.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes, tools, and data accuracy.
What you must have
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, MBA or a related technical field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in industrial planning, manufacturing, shipbuilding, or a related environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
