Experienced Automation Specialist in BC

Location: squamish

Woodfibre LNG is seeking an experienced Automation Specialist in Squamish, BC, to enhance the efficiency of our control systems. Bring your extensive DCS/PLC expertise to this crucial position.
As part of the Woodfibre LNG team, you will be responsible for the health and operational integrity of the facility's automation systems. This hands-on role involves collaborating with multiple disciplines to support a safe and effective work environment while troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure operational health of control systems and PLCs

• Provide support during start-up and operational phases

• Maintain and upgrade automation logic and graphics

• Execute plant-wide operations hazard awareness

• Collaborate on troubleshooting instrumentation issues
Requirements:

• At least 10 years of hands-on automation experience

• Degree or diploma in Automation or a relevant field

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Experience in Industrial Instrumentations and Electrical control

• Legally entitled to work in Canada, with a valid driver's license
