As a Facilities Operations Intern, you'll support Facilities and Manufacturing Engineering teams in projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes such as welding and fabrication. This hands-on position will involve conducting time studies, data collection, and AutoCAD layout designs to enhance efficiency and reduce waste using lean methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Facilities and Manufacturing Engineering projects
• Improve processes like welding and plasma cutting
• Conduct time studies and collect data effectively
• Design effective workspace layouts in AutoCAD
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures
Requirements:
• Enrolled in a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering program
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with CAD software
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies
• Ability to work cross-functionally with minimal direction
