Join Woodfibre LNG as an Expert Automation Engineer in Squamish, BC. Drive system reliability and operational integrity in a premier liquefied natural gas facility through advanced automation solutions.
This position involves being a key member of the Woodfibre LNG project, focusing on the integrity of automation systems, including ICSS and PLCs. Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor, the Automation Specialist will troubleshoot automation challenges and implement effective control system improvements. The role emphasizes collaboration with Operations and Engineering teams to promote safety and efficiency at the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure uptime and health of automation systems

• Provide troubleshooting during commissioning and start-up

• Execute control system modifications per authority approvals

• Configure and maintain operational parameters of systems

• Support operational health of cybersecurity and data integrity
Requirements:

• 10+ years in DCS/PLC plant automation

• Degree or diploma in Automation or Engineering

• Relevant experience with LNG facilities considered an asset

• Proficiency in industrial programming required

• Strong teamwork skills in diverse groups
