In this intern role, you will engage with the Facilities and Manufacturing Engineering teams. Your responsibilities will include conducting time studies, collecting data, and designing workspace layouts using AutoCAD. You’ll work alongside skilled trades to enhance manufacturing efficiency through lean methodologies, making a meaningful impact on daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in various Facilities and Manufacturing Engineering projects
• Analyze and enhance welding and fabrication processes
• Perform essential time studies and gather necessary data
• Utilize AutoCAD for workspace layout design
• Write and update standard operating procedures
Requirements:
• 3rd or 4th-year Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Co-op student
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Proficiency in CAD tools
• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Develop valuable skills and contribute to Seaspan's impactful projects.
