We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Lead to join our team in North Vancouver, British Columbia. This 6 months contract position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office collaboration with remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will oversee accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while guiding a dedicated AP team consists of 3 clerks.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support the global accounts payable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
• Review and resolve payment discrepancies, escalating issues when necessary.
• Manage the shared inbox, overseeing team responses and verifying the accuracy of communications.
• Process ad hoc payments, including wire transfers, and ensure payment runs are completed weekly.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and address any outstanding issues or disputes.
• Monitor workflow based on payment terms and manage high-volume invoice processing.
• Perform three-way matching and purchase order verification to ensure compliance.
• Initiate payroll payments and handle multicurrency transactions, including Mexican pesos.
• Conduct regular reviews of team performance, providing feedback and implementing improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to address cross-functional accounts payable queries.
