Data Analyst, IT Business Analyst
Through the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS), the Government of Canada has embarked on one of the largest procurement projects since the Second World War. The NSS is a nation-building effort to create a sustainable Canadian shipbuilding industry, secure long-term job opportunities and build the next generation of ships for the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. Through its NSS–related work, Seaspan Shipyards is owning the redevelopment of our domestic shipbuilding industry on the West Coast and delivering on the promise of ships built in Canada, by Canadians.
The Intern, Co-Console Analyst is responsible for supporting the Co-Console team in the management of the Completions Management System for the business. They will be working across multiple projects, specifically JSS1, JSS2, Polar and MPI. The role will involve working in Co-Console to manage user requests, structure data inputs and align requirements from end users for development/configuration. The role will directly report to the Ship Completions Planning Manager but day to day tasks will be defined by the Planner III – Co-Console System Analyst.
Note:
Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at Operations Centre, North Vancouver.
- Manage daily emergent issues from End Users and rectify the root causes where possible
- Work closely with the BTS team and the vendor (Prometheus) to manage tickets related to support, bug fixes, or feature requests and ensure these are closed out in a timely manner
- Support the development of training material for End Users and Power Users and support with the execution of training where required
- Support data cleanup activities in collaboration with Engineering and Data Analytics teams, following established procedures within source toolsets
- Gather requirements from end users for new capability requests and support the development, testing and rollout of these new capabilities
- Assist the Planner III with development of the Completions data structure for the Polar/MPI project in alignment with various teams including Quality, Acceptance, Data Analytics, Engineering etc.
- Active enrollment in University with at least one semester remaining of studies, either in Computer Science, Data Analytics or Engineering.

- To assist those that are using transit, we operate a complimentary shuttle bus Monday through Friday with various pick up and drop off points around North Vancouver.
We require a full‑time commitment Monday‑Friday, 40 hours per week with an hourly rate of $28.00/hour.
Start Date of Internship:
Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.
End Date of Internship:
Friday, April 30th, 2027 (8-Months).
