FNHA is renewing its cybersecurity strategy while moving from on prem to the cloud. This is an exciting time to build our security roadmap and influence executive decisions to improve our incident response and security resilience. Manager, Cyber Security Operations within IMIT is a critical role with oversight of security operations, incident response, IAM, and endpoint protection. This role is required to backfill a vacancy and maintain continuity for cybersecurity operations at FNHA.

Alberni office – Hybrid. Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.
As the Manager of Cybersecurity Operations, you will oversee and manage security operations at the First Nation Health Authority. You will develop and implement security strategies, ensure effective implementation of security controls, and lead a team to protect the FNHA's internal infrastructure. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with FNHA senior leadership and business stakeholders to enhance the security posture and address security challenges.
Educationand Occupational requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or a combination of experience and certifications.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, GSOC, CEH, CCSP, CIAM.
- Knowledge of the following technologies is an asset:
Endpoint & Data Protection, Cloud Security, Security Operations & Threat Detection, IAM & Access Management, and Patch & Vulnerability Management.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing security operations, including SOC, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, EDR, Cloud Security, and Threat Intelligence.
- Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing security operations team.
- Experience in creating a practical security operation strategy and roadmap steps to ensure that security services are delivered efficiently and meet FNHA's business and community needs.
- Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31%.
- 4 weeks’ vacation, which increases with service to 5 weeks, plus 5 personal days, 1 volunteer day, and 14 public holidays including National Indigenous People’s Day, National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Easter Monday and Boxing Day.
