Job Posting – Operations & Customer Experience Coordinator (RUX)

RUX is an independent outdoor gear brand based in Squamish, BC. We design and build waterproof, modular Gear Boxes, duffels, totes, and packing systems for people who spend real time outside - from the Coast Mountains to the road trip, the boat, the campsite, and everywhere in between.

We're a small, close-knit team that sells direct to customers across Canada, the US, and Europe, and through a growing network of retailers, distributors, and corporate partners. Everyone here wears a few hats, works close to the product and the customer, and has a real impact on how the business runs.

The Role

We're looking for an Operations & Customer Experience Coordinator to be the person who keeps our day-to-day running: the orders moving, the customers happy, the studio organized, and the shelves stocked.

This is a hands-on role at the centre of a small business. You'll pack boxes and talk to customers, but you'll also see how fulfillment, support, inventory, retail, and logistics fit together across three regions. If you want to learn how an independent product brand actually operates, this is an unusually good seat to do it from.

You'll start with a structured training period on our products, systems, and ways of working. From there, responsibilities grow as you do.

What You’ll Do
  • Own daily order flow across Canada, the US, and Europe — making sure orders get out the door on time and chasing down anything that doesn't
  • Pick, pack, and ship Canadian orders from our Squamish studio, and coordinate with our fulfillment partners in the US and Europe
  • Prepare quotes, labels, and shipments for B2B and corporate orders, including the occasional local delivery
Customer Experience
  • Be the voice of RUX for customers: answering product questions, handling returns and warranties, solving shipping issues, and keeping response times fast
  • Spot patterns in what customers ask and feed that back into the team to improve products, content, and process
  • Help customers get the most out of their gear through demos, how-to content, and thoughtful support
Retail & Showroom
  • Keep our in-studio retail space sharp, stocked, and welcoming
  • Walk customers through the product line and show them how the system works together
Inventory & Studio
  • Receive incoming stock, run monthly counts, and flag shortages or discrepancies
  • Keep the packing, inventory, and studio spaces clean and organized
  • Pitch in across the team when things need doing
Making Things Better
  • Notice what's clunky, slow, or broken, and help fix it. We're growing and our processes are still being shaped; your ideas will get used.
What You’ll Get Exposure To
  • Cross-border ecommerce and international shipping
  • Third-party logistics and fulfillment partners
  • Customer support tooling and service design
  • Inventory management and purchasing cycles
  • Wholesale, corporate, and distributor channels

Because we're small and independent, you'll touch far more than the title suggests:

It's a strong foundation for anyone who wants to build a career in operations, ecommerce, or the outdoor industry, or who wants to run their own thing one day.

Who We're Looking For
  • Organized and reliable: you like systems and you follow through
  • A clear, friendly communicator, in writing and on the phone
  • Comfortable with hands-on work: packing, lifting, moving product around
  • Good with software and quick to pick up new tools (experience with Shopify or customer support platforms is a plus, not a requirement)
  • Someone who notices problems and does something about them
  • Curious about how a product business works, and keen to learn
  • Genuinely into the outdoors — you don't need to be a pro, but you should get why people care about this gear
