This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

We partner closely with our vendors to ensure productsmeetproduct development,costandquality expectations while supporting our sourcing strategies.

Product Creation Developmentandadditional functional

Supply Chainpartners,as well as theDesignand

Merchandising teams.

If you were the Commercialization Specialist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing
  • Owningthedevelopment andcommercializationof productas we transition to manufacturingfromproduct creationdevelopment approvalthrough tobulk readiness,ensuring product is delivered on time in full
  • Consistentlyachievingproductdesign intentthrough collaboration with Product Creation Development, Design,andSupply

    Chain (Sourcing, Costing,Compliance and Quality) departments
  • Working directly with global vendors, as well as Arc’teryx’sown factory, to accurately communicate model requirements, buy ready and production ready specifications, approved referencesamplesand patterns to meet established fit,quality and construction standards
  • Collaborating with global and own factory base to provide manufacturing input to our Product teams that will improve scalability, efficiency and enable quality in our manufacturing base
  • Transforming the Product Creation Developmenttech pack information intoan accuratedatabase ofBill of Materials (BOM) information that will result in efficient raw material sourcing andpurchasingwhich thenenables the vendors to accurately produce finished producton time, in full at cost
  • Executingto calendar deliverables,including but not limited todevelopmentprotos,pre-production andsize runsamples,rawmaterialand finishedgoods validation, costing,compliance testing,qualityevaluationand approval requirements with key stakeholders
  • In partnership with Sourcing and Costing, support ownership in achievingproduct cost estimates and vendor costnegotiations to meet and/or exceed target FOB/marginsfor new product
  • Ownership and management ofseasonalcarryovers, aswellas supporting

    Supply

    Chainwith regards to cost and qualityprovidingteams (inclusive of Product Development and Colour) visibilityand ensuringinflation targets and seasonal updates are met
  • Managinginline product updates,including but not limited to factory transitions,duel sourced,material changes,and compliance changes
  • Contributing to the creation and evolution of construction standards in conjunction with the Quality team
  • Supporting Sourcing&Quality in the training of new factory resources and ensuring that Arc’teryx brand standards are met
  • Identifyinggaps and opportunities, working with Product Creation Development,Sourcing, Costing and Quality todriveprocess improvement with a lean forward attitude todrive evolutionwithinthedesign to manufacturing process
  • Travelling,as needed, to support the business expectations

  • You have4+ years’experience in product development (developingproduct/process) with a focus on technical, innovative apparel and equipment
  • You have an Undergraduate

    Degree

    OR equivalent industry training,certifications,or related business…
