Job SummaryThe Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and work areas to support a safe, clean, and food-safe manufacturing environment. This role helps ensure the facility meets all food safety, quality, and safety standards and is essential to daily operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Clean, sanitize, disassemble, and reassemble production equipment following established procedures.
- Follow all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Master Sanitation Schedules, and work instructions.
- Safely use, handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and tools.
- Clean production floors, walls, equipment parts, and supporting structures.
- Clean offices, lunchrooms, washrooms, and common areas as assigned.
- Perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, and waste removal.
- Assist with waste and recycling removal from the facility.
- Support Quality Control during pre-operational inspections and complete corrective cleaning when required.
- Accurately complete sanitation and cleaning records.
- Participate in required training related to sanitation, food safety, health and safety, and workplace procedures.
- Follow all workplace health and safety rules, company policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Report any food safety, quality, safety, or equipment concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow organic cleaning procedures where applicable.
- Act as backup for other Sanitation employees as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
- High School Diploma
- Previous sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred

Knowledge and Skills- Good verbal, written and multi-tasking skills
- Must be available to work weekly rotating shifts: days, afternoons, nights.
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Must have reliable transportation (location is off bus route).
- 100% of work is performed in a production environment.
- This role requires standing, bending, heavy lifting, working with cleaning chemicals, and occasionally working at heights with proper training and certification.
Full-time, Permanent
Hourly Rate: $21.00
