United Gear & Machine Works, a division of Boundary Mining Group, is seeking a diligent Shop Helper. You will assist with key functions such as shipping and receiving, ensuring parts cleanliness, and supporting skilled tradespeople. Strong attention to detail is necessary in this high-quality manufacturing shop specializing in gearbox refurbishment for various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate forklift and overhead cranes for shipping
• Conduct local pick-ups and deliveries as needed
• Clean and maintain parts for optimal use
• Organize shop area and coordinate material flow
• Package and crate equipment safely for shipping
Requirements:
• Class 5 driver’s license is required
• Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes is an asset
• Proficiency with basic hand tools is necessary
• Preference for candidates with mechanical experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
