Vancouver Coastal Health is searching for a dedicated Mental Health and Substance Use Nurse to work at the HOpe Centre.

Your role will involve evaluating referral priorities, ensuring appropriate service allocation, and coordinating treatment plans for clients with complex needs. Utilizing evidence-based approaches, you will deliver holistic nursing care while working collaboratively with emergency and community teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen and assess client referral priorities

• Coordinate site-specific client assignments effectively

• Provide crisis response and counselling interventions

• Advocate for client rights and cultural safety

• Maintain professional documentation of client care
Requirements:

• Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse license

• Two years of recent nursing experience in mental health

• Valid BC Driver's License for local travel

• Knowledge in therapeutic communication and crisis management

• Ability to work independently within an interdisciplinary team
