Mental Health Registered Nurse

Provide essential mental health care as a Registered Nurse at Vancouver Coastal Health in North Vancouver, BC. This role focuses on supporting clients with severe mental illnesses through direct nursing interventions.

As a Mental Health Nurse on the Adult Mental Health team at HOpe Centre, you will assess, plan, and implement strength-based treatment for clients. The role requires both independent work and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to address the unique needs of each client effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform psychosocial rehabilitation assessments for clients

• Develop and evaluate individualized treatment plans

• Administer medications and track client reactions

• Support therapeutic relationships with clients and families

• Maintain accurate client records and contribute to team meetings

Requirements:

• Active RN or RPN registration with BCCNM

• Nursing diploma and two years of relevant experience

• Understanding of mental health recovery and concurrent disorders

• Experience with trauma-informed care practices

• BC Driver’s license for travel as needed
