The Nursing Practice Consultant role focuses on improving care for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges within First Nations communities. Leverage your nursing expertise and cultural knowledge to support community nursing staff through training and essential skills development. This permanent position requires three years of nursing experience, with a background in mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional nursing support to First Nations communities

• Plan and implement training for community nurses

• Improve mental health and substance use nursing practices

• Educate on traditional and complementary healing approaches

• Collaborate with community health teams for effective care

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a recognized institution

• Current registration with BCCNP

• Three years of clinical practice experience

• Knowledge of First Nations healing practices

• Additional training in mental health and substance use
