The Registered Nurse reports directly to the Director of Care and is responsible for comprehensive resident assessments, service planning, and documentation. Experience in gerontology or long-term care will be a significant asset in this role. The RN will collaborate with various healthcare teams to maintain high standards and facilitate optimal resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete and update residents' care assessments and service plans
• Assist in scheduling and participate in care conferences
• Supervise medication administration by unregulated care providers
• Respond to medical emergencies and significant changes in resident health
• Coordinate nursing assignments for efficient service delivery
Requirements:
• Current Registered Nurse registration in BC
• Experience with seniors and care providers
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Current Vulnerable Position Screening certification
