Provide registered nursing care at Lions Gate Hospital’s Discharge Lounge in North Vancouver, using care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration. Support patients through discharge and wellness education.
Vancouver Coastal Health seeks a Registered Nurse for its Discharge Lounge in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Using best practices, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care. You will advocate for clients, teach families, document care, and collaborate with healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate assigned client care
- Participate in discharge planning and advocate for clients
- Teach clients and families about health and wellness
- Document care and respond to incidents appropriately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare providers and teams
- Current practicing BCCNM registration as a Registered Nurse
- Ability to develop and implement client care plans
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to counsel and teach clients and families
- Clinical, CPR, equipment, and computerized care-system skills
